In Black and White

I designed this mini-collection for my Product Development and Technical Design course, exploring how black and white can be playful and feminine within fashion. I developed patterns based on my body measurements and style, thoughtfully selected fabrics, and constructed each garment using industrial sewing techniques. I loved combining my creativity with my technical skills.

The Bunny Dress

This is a babydoll dress with an empire waistline, and thin black straps. The dress is gathered at the waistline, and the top portion is lined. It features an invisible zipper with a hook and eye closure.

the gingham Pants

The gingham pants are high waisted, straight pants with a high slit. There is one ribbon attached near the top of each slit to create a bow. The pants are finished with a waistband featuring an invisible zipper in the back, and a button on the center back of the waistband. Additionally, the pants have two small darts in the back for fit, as well as inseam side pockets for a seamless pocket look. The pants are paired with a knit top. The knit top is white and short-sleeved with a crop at the waistline.

The Polka Dot Top

This polka-dot look look features a square-neck, drop shoulder shirt with a bow closure in the back. It has a boxy fit, with additional pattern pieces sewn over the neckline and the back of the top to add interest. The top is paired with a lined gray mini skirt with two darts in the front and back for fit. It features a center back zipper with a hook and eye closure.
