About Me
Hi there! I’m Ashley Johanson, a recent graduate from Auburn University with a degree in Apparel Design and Production Management. Throughout my education, I learned the steps of garment creation from conception to production while designing through a consumer lens. This holistic approach has shaped my skills as a creative and technical designer.
I have always loved creative thinking, which is what initially drew me to apparel design. Whether it’s forming a new concept for a collection, working through a fit problem by correcting patterns, or refining the smallest design details, I enjoy every part of the creative process and seeing an idea come to life. I am currently looking for full-time opportunities in apparel design where I can continue developing as a designer and contribute creatively within the industry.
My design style is playful, joyful, and simple, much like my own personality. I find inspiration in nostalgia, little everyday moments, and simple joys. I believe that clothing has a way of capturing meaningful moments and connecting us to them.
